Mission Trip Part 2

In Kirilov one of our team members from Severodvinsk was taken in a police car and asked a bunch of questions and a few police came to the meeting in civilian clothes and intentionally drunk to disturb meeting. So while everyone would go out to invite people and go to the meetings I would stay at home with Alla, Yuri’s wife and help her if I could or play the guitar. People were starting to get down because of the persecution, so the Lord gave me a wonderful word from Acts 4, which lead me in a message about persecution and how we are to expect, handle, and even glory in it. Igor translated for me and we all continued to minister with a refreshed spirit. In the three days we spent evangelizing every night around 10 people accepted Christ. On Sunday 6 new people came, including 2 young girls about 10-12 years old, and one man accepted Christ. I wish I could have been out on the streets but God has his reasons. If anything it just showed us what to expect and what to prepare for in the future.

After this trip everyone is pumped and excited and are planning more events of a similar nature. I truly believe this is the beginning of a revival, small or big, little or great, it doesn’t matter, I am just convinced the Lord is moving in the hearts of many believers in this area. Igor, the team, and I are getting more excited about building and planting a church in a town called Anisimovo and in Cherepovets, and a lot of people want to get involved. We are so excited and ask that you would join us in prayer as we seek wisdom and guidance as we seek to spread the name of Jesus in this spiritually oppressed land.

At the restaurant a christian band played, followed by the word being shared by Yura, and a choir.

Morning Bible study.

The girls love to serve, here they are helping an older lady do her laundry.

We had a relaxing barbecue after all the evangelism was over.

Russian love sunflower seeds, and water melon! Good thing I do too.

Alla is a great woman, she was always serving, making food and encouraging people. Even in her Sunday best.

People waiting to great people who came to church.

The lady on the right blessed my heart. Sher is an invalide that can't walk, but a devoted believer and comes to church every Sunday. I loved to see her worship.

This man on the right came to church for the first time and accepted Jesus.

On the way home we stopped by the woman's monastery.

We came across some drunk people that lived there, and Igor can't resist ministering to drug addicts and alcoholics. The lady on the far left prayed Jesus, and we gave her a New Testament. I pray that she is able to leave her old life and live strong for Jesus.
